Affirmations - a tool to convert negative energy into positive energy!

AFFIRMATIONSTHE 'WINGS & ROOTS ACHIEVE-MORE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE' IS ABOUT: a) getting as much energy or life-force running through you as you can d) focusing that life-force on achieving your personal & professional goalsc) maintaining that flow of life-forced) if necessary re-claiming any energy that is 'leaking' away because of 'negatives', such as anger, fear, anxiety, hurt etc. This section of the course is about using affirmations to deal with 'negatives' - unhelpful patterns of thought that 'steal' energy away from us. TRANSFORMING NEGATIVE 'LEAKED' ENERGY INTO POSITIVE ENERGYSuch negatives can cause 'resentment'. In this state, through repressed hurt or anger, we habitually re-send some of our energy to repeating our responses around things that happened in the past. It's a kind of addiction. Continually re-sending energy to keep the hurt submerged takes an awful lot of our life-force. That is lost energy leaked away lost to us to use creatively to help others & achieve our life goals. The re-send-ment is cyclical. It is an endless looped tape of repetition to which we get addicted until we learn to let go and re-claim that wasted energy and re-dedicate it to positive goals. Those positive goals can start with very very simple steps such as saying to ourselves, I feel terrific, I feel terrific, I feel terrific.... and then smiling at someone. Immediately we are choosing to experience the positive, and radiate the positive. The thing to do with vicious circles is to un-learn the reason for doing them. We learned to start doing the in the first place, so we can learn to stop doing them by doing other things that serve ourselves better - and help those we want to serve loved ones or customers. Here is the good news - vicious circles can be replaced them with virtuous circles! WHAT ARE AFFIRMATIONS?To affirm means to say 'yes'. Affirmations are messages we send to ourselves to release the hold on us of negative patterns of thought. Releasing the negatives gives us back positive energy to use to help others and achieve more of our life-goals. HOW TO MAKE AFFIRMATIONS WORK WELL FOR YOU:1 Choose the affirmation/ that has the most 'tingle' around it. Try putting in different names! 2 Write you chosen affirmation/s on a card and keep them with you at all times.3 Repeat them 20 times in the morning and in the evening and whenever you can during the day. BREATH IN THE POSITIVE-GOOD, BREATH OUT THE NEGATIVE-BADAs you are doing them breath in light and love and breathe out all the negatives for the Universe to re-cycle into good things! It takes at least a month for the bad stuff to float away and for the message to be accepted by the unconscious "reacting" mind. Don't be a perfectionist you will know when you are feeling lighter, more energised! If after a month you haven't made the progress you wanted try writing the chosen affirmation/ every morning and evening and say them aloud as you write them this makes the whole process much more powerful. When you write out and say aloud your affirmation stuff will 'come up' Stuff like 'You must be joking!' or 'bleep that' or 'It can't ever work for me!' This is what you do which incidentally is exactly what you do if you get 'bad' thoughts at any time e.g. in meditation. Imagine a cinema screen. Imagine the 'bad' thought coming on to the screen from off-stage left then travelling across and disappearing off the screen right. Say to the 'bad' thought, Hello, good morning, goodbye! And that's it. Imagine the negatives or no more substantial than bubbles when they get to the surface they no longer have existence. Instead they are being re-cycled in to good stuff by that great system we call the Universe! Waaaheyyyyyy! We are not our thoughts! WHY DO WE DO THE NEGATIVE?The only reason we go on doing negative things is that they make more meaning or provide more satisfaction when we are trying to cope. The solution is to get greater meaning from positives greater meaning, greater satisfaction, a greater sense of achievement and success (the same is true of criminals and vandals they need positive alternatives!) YOU CAN MAKE THE PROCESS INTO A LITTLE CEREMONY IF YOU WANTSome people use 'worry beads' to count as they say their chosen affirmation/s. Some put their 20/30/40 beans, coins or beads on the table and then put one into a receptacle with each affirmation. This way, you can fully feel the experience of the affirmation without worrying about counting Don't forget to breathe in the positive, and exhale the negatives just let them go - the Universe knows how to re-cycle them! It's good if we say the affirmation/s with feeling and at the speed that allows us to experience them fully in body, heart and mind. Feel all around you the love in a love affirmation, feel all around you the prosperity in a prosperity affirmation, feel all around you the forgiveness in a forgiveness affirmation. APPLYING A BIT OF EXTRA UMPH!Some people suggest that if we miss a day we should start right over at the beginning i.e. Day 1. If your affirmation/s does the work without this discipline that's great. If not start all over and this time write and sound out the affirmation. Another way to strengthen the process is to put your affirmation on a tape, CD or MP3 file use other voices if you want. Another 'strengthener' is to record each affirmation in I, & he/she forms e.g. I Roger right now - freely and fully forgive all those from whom I have taken hurtRepeat it aloud to yourselfHe Roger right now freely and fully forgives all those from whom he has taken hurt.Repeat it aloud to yourself Why say 'from whom he has taken hurt' well its the first step towards taking responsibility for myself for all that is. I took the hurt whether or not it was intended.
